Incident Details
The Met Office are advising that temperatures today are expected to be above average for the time of year. Highs are forecast to exceed 30°C in London, and similar high temperatures are likely across central and southern England. This hot weather is expected to continue well into the week and the weekend.
Thursday 9 July
Due to the high temperatures forecast for Thursday 9 July, changes will be made to services on the West of England line between 12:00 and 20:00. These changes will help us provide a more reliable and resilient service during the period of hot weather.
West of England services
Services between London Waterloo and Exeter St Davids will operate only between Basingstoke and Exeter St Davids in both directions between 12:00 and 20:00.
How do I get to my destination?
Customers travelling between London Waterloo and stations on the Basingstoke and Exeter St Davids route will need to change trains at Basingstoke to complete their journey.
To improve connections, additional stops will be added to services operating between Weymouth and London Waterloo.
You can still travel as planned, but please allow extra time for your journey. Further minor timetable amendments may be necessary, so please check journey planners before you travel.
If you need any help with your journey, please speak to a member of staff or use a station help point.
